I’ve been classified into a group with the best pronunciation and intonation. I’m happy about the feedback which Carolyn gave to me. She said she was surprised by my speaking so well that she requested me to speak more. I got 23 scores out of 30 and full marks in the passage reading in the second oral assessment. Today, I got another feedback of 3rd oral assessment given by Margret. She said that my EX—pronunciation is not acute enough, having too much nasal sounds and I have to speak with my mouth bigger and wider. She scores me 26.5 out of 30. There’re still two more weeks to go and I’m afraid that I haven’t leave much room for myself to make progresses for.
During the 2nd week, I’ve learned a lot of the practical way of speaking in real life, such as liaisons, intonation, word stress, stress in phrases, syllable patterns, reduced sounds, squeezed-out syllables, and transitions of nouns and verbs. Let’s review.

±NEWS SCRIPTS that I wrote
J:Hello, everyone, I’m James.
P:I’m Peggy.
J:We’re going to report the hottest baseball news. Before we do that, I want you guys to go into your group and discuss…no, no I want to ask Peggy a question. I remember that you reported Ichiro hit 27streaks in a row. Did Ichiro break the record?
P:No, he didn’t make it to 28 games. However, Ichiro Suzuki remains the hero in Japanese’s eyes. The 35-year-old fielder has broken so many records including the single-season hit record in MLB which hadn’t been broken in 84 years until Ichiro did it.
J:Yeah, Japan has Ichiro and we have Chien-Ming Wang. He has won 46 games from 2006 to 2008. But he hasn’t won any game this year because of his injuries. Is there any good news on Chien-Ming Wang?
P:Yes, Wang has returned to the rotation last week. He pitched against the Rangers for 4 2/3 innings at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees won the game but Wang was ineffective in Yankee’s win. So we’ll just have to see until the next game. Well, I believe Wang is pitching a game against the Red Sox right now. To get the hottest live report ,please switch to LionKing SPORTS Channel.
J:Thank You, Peggy. Now let’s go back to Vicky for health news.
